New to the Village

Welcome to The Village. We're excited you're here, at least online, and look forward to meeting you in person. When we do meet, you’ll find that we have a relaxed but reverent Sunday service, focused on Jesus – who He is, what He has done, and how He calls us to live. Our church community is not perfect, but is pressing more and more into Jesus, into the lives of one anther, and the life of our community as well. We hope you’ll visit us soon and look forward to meeting you. Here’s a few questions you can browse through so you’ll know better what to expect.

What time does church start at The Village on Sunday?

8:30am & 10:00am

What do people dress like around The Village on Sunday?

You can pretty much expect to find anything and everything at The Village when it comes to the style of Sunday dress. Don’t worry about any preconceived notions, just be yourself. The main thing for us is to dress personally, yet respectfully since our service is more about Jesus than any one of us.

Is parking a problem?

Not usually. If you don’t find a spot in our main lot, you may have to park along the street. But no worries, the furthest you’d have to walk is a minute or two. We can also accommodate handicap parking right next to the building.

How will I know where to go once I’m there?

As you’re walking up to our facility, you’ll be greeted by people who are typically really friendly…..but not over the top. They’ll give you what you need for the morning or direct you to who or where you want to go.

What’s the music like at The Village on Sunday?

The music at The Village will vary a little from Sunday to Sunday depending on which of our two bands are leading. Each of our two bands has a distinct, but modern feel, while at the same time redoing hymns and classic songs with rich theology for a contemporary audience.

Are there classes for my kids?

Of course. Here’s what’s offered each Sunday for our kids:

  • The Little Village (5 and Under) – The Little Village offers classes at both our 8:15 and 10:00 service. Check in through our Childrens’ Connection Center at the side entrance generally starts 15 minutes before service and ends 15 minutes after service has started. You can expect a couple of smaller classes at the 8:15 service. At the 10:00 service you can expect classes of 10-20 kids per class. Our nursery is equipped with a personal paging system for each mother. We also offer a Mother’s Room equipped with a live feed at both the 8:15 and 10:00 service.
  • Kids Village (K-6th) – Kids Village is only offered at our 10:00 service. You can expect to find classes of 10-20 kids per class here as well. Check in through our Children’s Connection Center at the side entrance generally starts 15 minutes before service and ends 15 minutes after service has started.
Are there classes for my teens?

Of course. Here’s what’s offered each Sunday for our teens:

  • Crash (Jr. High) – Crash is our Jr. High gathering, which meets at our 10:00 service only. Our Crash room is on the second floor next to the Upper Room.
  • Anthem (High School) – Anthem is our High School gathering, which meets at our 10:00 service only. Anthem meets around the bistro tables in our Upper Room on the second floor.
Do I need to be a Christian to come to one of your services?

Of course not, but to be honest, our greatest hope is that you would be. We believe that’s God’s greatest desire as well. To that end, we promise we’ll just shoot straight with you about who Jesus is and what the Bible says. No pressure, just truth.
