The Advent

Village Church Family,

It's my absolute favorite time of the year - Advent!  What's more incredible than the reality that God has come to us.......come for us!  He has come, He is coming and He is coming again!

If you've been part of The Village Church for more than a year, you know that each Advent season we take a break from our normal teaching series to consider The Advent yet one more time.  This Advent season we're excited to partner with our friends from The Village Church in Texas to offer The Village Church in Irvine a very well done Advent Guide as well as an Advent Video outlining the truths of the Advent season in story and song.  You can check out both on The Advent page on our website.

As you open The Advent guide, you'll see that the five weeks The Village Church in Texas has to offer runs in parallel with the five weeks we offer here at The Village each Advent season.  The weeks match up as follows:

Week 1:  Promise & Patience  (The Anticipation, Sunday, Dec.4th)
Week 2:  Awaiting & Advent  (The Announcement, Sunday, Dec.11th)
Week 3:  Incarnation & Implications  (The Arrival, Sunday, Dec.18th)
Week 4:  Resurrection & Return  (The Adoration, Saturday, Dec.24th)
Week 5:  Watching & Waiting  (The Assignment, Sunday, Jan.1st)

Our hope is that these additional resources will be a tremendous blessing to you and your family, and to our church family this Advent season, helping us all to see Jesus more clearly than ever.

He has come.  He is coming.  He will come again!
