High School: First Mondays

"but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect..." - 1 Peter 3:15

"Isn't the Bible full of errors and contradictions? Didn't Jesus never say anything about homosexuality or abortion? To be a Christian means that you reject science, right?"

Now more than ever, young Christians need to be equipped to answer questions such as these in a biblically faithful yet loving and kind way... which is why First Mondays exist.

Our First Mondays ministry exists to equip our High School students with a Biblical Worldview as we discuss the hard topics and difficult questions that our culture is asking. With a high view of the authority of Scripture, we help our students to engage in these discussions in a loving and kind yet Biblically faithful way.

Here's how it works:

Our High School students meet on the first Monday of each month of the school year at a Village Partner's house for a meal, quality time with each other and their leaders, and teaching on a "hot topic" with a discussion and question time.

Some of the topics covered are homosexuality, the inerrancy of Scripture, and Christianity and Science.

If you're interested in joining us, or have any questions at all, please reach out to Tommy at tommymaroon@villagechurchirvine.com. We look forward to seeing you soon!
