TOMMY MAROON // Youth Director

Tommy has been a partner at Village Church since 2019, and stepped into the role of Youth Director in Summer 2020. He has a passion for seeing students become transformed by the Gospel, providing a space for students to ask the hard questions, and teaching students to love and serve the local church. Tommy is a graduate of Biola University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical and Theological Studies, and is a current seminary student at Talbot School of Theology. Outside of being a Youth Director, Tommy loves good Lebanese food, being Pastor David Hughes' best friend, and watching baseball.

JUSTIN KO // High School Boys Leader

Justin has been a partner at Village Church since 2020. He serves alongside his wife as community group leaders and most recently joined the youth ministry to lead the high schoolers. He is currently a seminary student at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and enjoys discipling young men, eating good food, and talking theology with others. His desire is for the youth to know the love of Jesus by understanding the Bible and living it out daily.

Grace Ko // High School Girls Leader

Grace has been a partner at Village Church since 2021 and is looking forward to a wonderful year of growth in youth ministry! She’s joining with 7+ years of youth ministry experience through church, para-church, and camp ministries. Grace works as a speech-language pathologist, loves her husband dearly (Justin), and is passionate about studying God’s word alongside others. Grace spends her free time reading good books, baking muffins or bread, and going on evening walks with Justin.

Becca Rey // Middle School Girls Leader

Becca has been attending the Village since the fall of 2020, and has been serving with the youth group since the beginning of 2021. She is from San Jose, California and is a junior psychology major at Biola University. At Biola, she’s a part of a Great Books program called Torrey, and she is an ambassador tour guide. She loves the beach and camp, specifically Hume Lake, where she worked for the past two summers. She is passionate about sharing the gospel and encouraging the next generation to know and love God and His Word.
