Partnership

What is Partnership?

At Village Church we define Partnership as an intimate fellowship between God and His people for His purpose. We find Partnership in Philippians 1:3-5:

"I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”

Just as Paul was joyful in his gospel Partnership with the church in Philippi, we desire the same for partners at Village Church.

As a partner you are committing yourself to other believers at Village Church. It involves a deep level of relationship with one another. The Pastors and leaders of Village Church also commit to care and serve partners in various ways.

Partnership Process

Considering becoming a Village Church Partner? There are three steps before becoming a Village Church Partner:

1. Partnership Class

We offer a class that covers our theology, our core beliefs and outlines what it means to be a Partner at Village Church. We want everyone to know exactly what is expected before making a decision to be a Partner at Village Church. In the class we cover 4 areas of Partnership:

Theological Partnership // We are here together because we believe something about God together.

Missional Partnership // We’re calling you to partner with Him in His Mission.

Relational Partnership // God desires a relationship eternally with us and we should desire the same with each other.

Material Partnership // The grace of God that has been given to us in Jesus affects everything in our lives, including the grace with which we likewise give.

2. Pastor One-on-One

Once you complete the class we require all new partners or partner couples to meet one-on-one with a Pastor. We want our new partners to know our Pastors and desire that our Pastors know partners at Village Church. The Pastor will get to know you better, listen to your testimony, help you get connected to Village Church and will answer your questions.

3. Sign the Covenant

After completing the Partnership class and your Pastor one-on-one, the last step is to sign the Partnership Covenant. The elder will explain the covenant and answer any questions during your one-on-one. After signing the covenant you are considered a partner of Village Church.

Partnership Care

At Village Church, we value direct care between Pastors and Partners. All Village Church Partners will be under the direct care of a Pastor who is committed to praying regularly for them, checking in with them, and being a direct line of contact for any needed care or information. It is our desire that Village Church Pastors shepherd the flock of God that is among us. This is how we aim to do this.
