Five Things to Know This Month: April 2018

Each month we send you "Five Things to Know" this month at Village Church. This will typically include classes, info, and upcoming events. We also will give you dates to save as early as possible, so that you can get them on your calendar and be able to plan for them. Here's five things to know this month:

1. Spring Block Party 2018

Our first Block Party of the year is coming up on Saturday, April 14th. These block parties are a great way for us to spend time together as a church family, and a perfect opportunity to invite friends or neighbors into our community. 

The Spring Block Party will be an afternoon and evening packed with great food and activities for adults and kids. Check out the full schedule and sign up today. 

2. Block Party Volunteers

Our block parties depend on lots of volunteers to help serve with things like setup, teardown, making food, serving food, or helping with crafts and activities. Kids and teens can help serve as well. If you are planning to attend the block party, we could use your help! Would you consider joining a Block Party Serve Team? 

HOW TO JOIN A BLOCK PARTY SERVE TEAM: 
1. Sign up for the block party
2. Check a box on the signup page to join a serve team
3. We will reach out to you via email with more details

3. Women's Retreat 

Our Village Church Women are heading to Twin Peaks Conference Center this month for our 2018 Women's Retreat. We have just a few spots left. If you haven't signed up yet, now is the time!

4. Child Dedications

Will be having child dedications in the month of May. This is a special time when parents make a commitment before the Lord, and our church family, to raise a child according to God's Word and his plan. If your family would like to participate, please email Lauren West (laurenwest@villagechurchirvine.com).

5. Men's Advance 2018 Dates // October 5th-7th

Our 2018 Men's Advance dates are set for October 5th-7th. This is the biggest men's event of the year, and it's a great time to get away to grow in the Lord and in fellowship with the men of Village Church.
