Five Things to Know This Month: August 2018

Each month we send you "Five Things to Know" this month at Village Church. This will typically include classes, info, and upcoming events. We also will give you dates to save as early as possible, so that you can get them on your calendar and be able to plan for them. Here's five things to know this month:

1. Summer Block Party

Our 2018 Summer Block Party is coming up on August 4th. This will be a great afternoon and evening of fun and fellowship for all ages. It's also a great event to invite friends or neighbors to hangout and get to know our Village Church family.

2. Village Kids // Transition Update

This summer we shared with you about our leadership transition in Village Kids. The transition is bittersweet, after so many great years of our children being cared for so well under Melanie Begg's leadership. We recognize her calling as a mother of two children, and her desire to see someone take the ministry into the next season, and we are grateful that God has raised up Josh Sayles as a perfect fit for this role going forward. 

We've had a few questions about the transition, and want to keep you informed about everything. You can click here to find a document that answers many of these questions. Of course, if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to one of your Pastors.  

3. Men's Advance 2018

Join us for our annual Men's Advance. We are heading to Younglife's Oakbridge Camp in Ramona, CA from October 5-7th.

This is our biggest and best Men's Ministry event of the year, and the best chance to get connected with other men at Village Church and grow together. We hope you can join us.

4. Save the Dates // Women's Retreat 2019

You can save the dates for our 2019 Women’s Retreat: April 12th - 14th. This is always a refreshing and fruitful weekend away for the women of Village Church, and we don't want any of our women to miss it.

5. Baptism Sunday // September 23rd
