Five Things to Know This Month: June 2018
Each month we send you "Five Things to Know" this month at Village Church. This will typically include classes, info, and upcoming events. We also will give you dates to save as early as possible, so that you can get them on your calendar and be able to plan for them. Here's five things to know this month:
1. Village Adventures
Our Village Adventures summer kids program is coming up on June 25th - 29th for kids entering Kindergarten - 6th grade. You can register online. The cost is just $25 for the whole week!
We are in need of LOTS of volunteers to help make this week great for kids, whether you can serve for all five days, or just a few. If you are available to help out at this event, please Email Melanie Begg: email@example.com
2. Middle Time // June 3rd
We hope you will join us this Sunday between services for our "Middle Time" fellowship. Our monthly Middle Time is an opportunity to get to know a few people and enjoy some great food and coffee. We will see you there!
9:00 - 10:15 AM // FIRST SERVICE
10:15 - 11:00 AM // MIDDLE TIME
11:00 AM - 12:15 AM // SECOND SERVICE
3. Men's Ministry // Summer Book Study
All men are invited into an 8-week study through "Taking God At His Word" by Kevin DeYoung. You can read the book on your own, and meet up in a group each week to discuss what it means for the Bible to be sufficient for every man.
There are four group locations to choose from. You can check out all the locations and join a group online.
*FOR THE WOMEN: Our Village Women will also be reading this book over the summer, discussing it on our Village Women's Slack Network, and meeting up at the end of summer for a wrap up discussion night.
You can stop by the Women's Ministry window in the back of the sanctuary on a Sunday and get more info about joining the women's ministry Slack network and reading this book with our women over the summer.
4. Women's Ministry // Mom Discussion Nights
All women are invited to join a summer book study and discussion group centered around the topic of Gospel parenting. We are putting together four living room gatherings with women young and old discussing the book "Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles" and sharing with one another about the joys, struggles, and lessons learned in raising children in the truth of the Gospel. You can register online in just a few minutes.
5. Village Church Spotify Playlist
Do you use Spotify to find and listen to music? We created a Spotify playlist of all the songs we sing on Sundays. Subscribe to the playlist and you will get notifications when we add new songs. Check it out on Spotify.
